Part I: Privacy Policy
1. Data Minimization Principle
Stella is designed as a privacy-first browser. We follow a strict "local-first" data policy:
Browsing History & Bookmarks: Stored locally on your device. We do not upload your browsing history to our servers.
Cookies & Cache: Stored locally. You can use the "Fire Button" or "Clear Data" feature to permanently wipe this data instantly.
Incognito Mode: When Incognito Mode is active, Stella does not persist history, cookies, or cache after the session ends.
2. Information We Collect
To provide specific features, we may interact with the following data types:
A. AI Interactions (Voluntary): When you use AI features (e.g., "Summarize Page", "Translate", "Chat", or "Vision/Screenshot Analysis"), the text content, queries, or images/screenshots you actively upload or capture are sent to our AI service providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) solely for processing and generating a response. This data is transient and is not used by us to train AI models or identify you personally.
B. Biometric Data (Local Only): If you enable the "FaceID/TouchID Lock" feature, the authentication process happens entirely on your device's secure enclave. We never access, store, or transmit your biometric data.
C. Device Information (Non-Personal): We may collect anonymous device data (e.g., device model, OS version, crash logs) via third-party SDKs (such as Google Firebase) solely to improve app stability and fix bugs.
D. Advertising Data: We use third-party advertising partners (e.g., Google AdMob/AppLovin) to display ads. These partners may use device identifiers (like IDFA/AAID) to show relevant ads, subject to your system settings.
3. Third-Party Services
Stella may include links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. Please review their policies when visiting them.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) for all network communications. Your local data is protected by the operating system's sandbox mechanism.
5. Children's Privacy
Stella is not intended for children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Part II: User Agreement (Terms of Service)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Stella, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
Stella is a general-purpose web browser tool. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
3. User Responsibility & Content Disclaimer (Crucial)
Third-Party Content: Stella provides access to the World Wide Web. We do not host, upload, control, or endorse any content on the websites you visit via our browser.
User Conduct: You assume full responsibility for the URLs you visit, the content you consume, and the images/screenshots you upload for AI analysis. You agree NOT to use Stella to:
Access or distribute illegal content (including but not limited to pirated movies, illegal software, or prohibited materials).
Upload or analyze sensitive, private, or copyright-protected images without authorization.
Violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property laws.
Engage in any illegal activity defined by the laws of your jurisdiction.
No Liability: We are not liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from third-party websites accessed through Stella.
4. AI Features & Prohibited Content (Zero Tolerance)
The AI features in Stella are powered by large language models.
No Guarantees: The output may contain inaccuracies or "hallucinations" and should not be considered professional advice.
Prohibited AI Usage: You must not use the AI features to generate content that is:
Sexually explicit or pornographic.
Hateful, harassing, or bullying.
Promoting violence or illegal acts.
Zero Tolerance Policy: We reserve the right to ban users who attempt to use our AI tools to generate or process objectionable content.
5. Intellectual Property
The design, code, and "Stella" logo are our proprietary property. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE APP WILL BE BUG-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
8. Data Deletion & Retention (Google Play Data Safety)
We value your control over your data. In compliance with Google Play's Data Safety policy, we provide the following mechanism for data deletion requests:
Local Data: You can instantly delete all browsing history, cookies, and cache stored on your device by using the in-app "Fire Button" or "Clear Data" feature.
Third-Party Data (AdMob/Firebase): Although we do not maintain user accounts, third-party services (such as Google AdMob and Firebase) may process device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID) for analytics and advertising purposes. If you wish to request the deletion of data associated with your device ID from these services, please contact us.
How to Request Deletion:
Please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request and ensure your associated data is removed from our third-party records within 30 days.
