Part I: Privacy Policy
1. Data Minimization Principle
Stella is designed as a privacy-first browser. We follow a strict "local-first" data policy:
Browsing History & Bookmarks: Stored locally on your device. We do not upload your browsing history to our servers.
Cookies & Cache: Stored locally. You can use the in-app tools to permanently wipe this data instantly.
Incognito Mode: When active, Stella does not persist history, cookies, or cache after the session ends.
2. Information We Collect
To provide specific features, we may interact with the following data types:
A. AI Interactions (Voluntary): When using AI features, the text content or images you actively upload are sent to our AI service providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) solely for processing. This data is transient and is not used by us to train models or identify you personally.
B. Biometric Data (Local Only): If you enable the FaceID/TouchID feature, authentication happens entirely on your device's secure enclave. We never access, store, or transmit your biometric data.
C. Device Information & Technical Configurations: We may collect anonymous device data (e.g., OS version, crash logs) via third-party SDKs solely to improve app stability. Additionally, standard web request headers (such as the User-Agent) may reflect your current app version or feature tier. This is a routine technical configuration used solely to ensure app compatibility and proper feature delivery.
3. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a resident of California, you have the right to request access to your personal data, request deletion of your data, and opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. 4. Data Deletion & Retention (Google Play & App Store Data Safety)
In compliance with store policies, we provide mechanisms for data deletion:
Local Data: You can instantly delete all browsing data stored on your device through the app's settings.
Account/Third-Party Data: To request the deletion of any device identifiers associated with third-party analytics, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 30 days.
Part II: Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Stella, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Premium Subscriptions (Stella Circle)
Stella offers an optional premium subscription ("Stella Circle") providing uninterrupted, ad-free browsing and unlimited AI credits. By subscribing, you agree to the following billing terms:
Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Renewal Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost depends on the selected plan (e.g., Weekly, Annual).
Management & Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase. Canceling a subscription stops future charges, but no refunds will be provided for the current active billing cycle.
Free Trials: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
3. User Responsibility & Content Disclaimer
Third-Party Content: Stella provides access to the web. We do not host, control, or endorse any content on the websites you visit.
User Conduct: You assume full responsibility for your browsing activities. You agree NOT to use Stella to access illegal content, upload sensitive or copyrighted images for AI analysis without authorization, or violate any laws.
4. AI Features & Prohibited Content
The AI features are powered by large language models. The output should not be considered professional advice.
Prohibited Usage: You must not use the AI features to generate content that is sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or illegal.
Zero Tolerance: We reserve the right to ban users who abuse our AI tools to process objectionable content.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
